Where to find your invoices and how to pay them
In Germany, the process of finding and paying invoices can vary based on the company you are dealing with. Here are the two most common scenarios:
1. Paper Invoices and Bank Transfers:- Finding Invoices: You'll typically receive a paper invoice by mail. This invoice will detail the service or product being charged for, the amount due, and the due date.
- When paying invoices, you can find the company's bank account details, including IBAN and BIC codes, on the invoice. You can then initiate a bank transfer using online banking or by visiting a bank branch.
- Finding Invoices: Many companies are moving towards digital invoicing. You will receive an email notification with a link to download your invoice as a PDF document. It can also be found in our portal MyDashboard under invoices
- Paying Invoices:
- Direct Debit: This authorizes the company to automatically withdraw the payment amount from your bank account on the due date. You'll need to provide your bank account details for this option. (GoCardless)
- Online Payment Gateway: Some companies might offer secure online payment options through services like PayPal or a similar platform
- Credit Card Payment: In some cases, you might be able to pay your invoice directly with a credit card through the company's website or online portal.
